Your partner in early intervention

More about me

Hello! My name is Shashika (Shika), and I am a passionate and dedicated paediatric occupational therapist. I have had the privilege of working with children across various settings including homes, private practice, schools, and early education centres in both individual and group programs. I hold a master’s degree in occupational therapy (2015) from La Trobe University and am registered with The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Throughout my career, I have specialised in paediatric occupational therapy, with a focus on supporting toddlers and preschoolers with neurodevelopmental differences. Witnessing the progress and growth of these children has been incredibly rewarding, which is why I am passionate about supporting young children and their families early on in life. My mission is to help each child reach their full potential and achieve meaningful milestones.

I take a holistic approach to occupational therapy, understanding that a child's development is interconnected across various domains. My focus is on building essential skills, fostering independence, and enhancing social-emotional well-being, all while engaging in fun and purposeful activities.

Thank you for considering our practice as a partner in your child's development. We look forward to working together to create a brighter and more inclusive future for your child!

I believe that every child is unique and deserves to be seen and celebrated for their individual strengths and abilities. When I work with a child, I strive to create a safe and nurturing space where they can feel accepted, valued, and understood.
